Hi Laura,  you left a note on my page way back in September....and I'm just getting back to you now!  Wow I just really love your work.

 

Love the Number/bird series....but love all your work,  Love your title, so glad to have gotten to your page today and view your work, such an inspiration!

Hi Laura,

I actually debated in my head for about 10 seconds whether or not to share, but then I stole the technique from an excewllent painter who was a grad student when I was an undergrad, so my internal debate was over.  My favorite professor always said to watch what someone who's work you lke, then stael the idea and make it your own.  Oh well.

Hi Luara,

Thanks for your kind words.  The piece is oil on streched canvas gesso'd, then overlaid with gessoed old jeans, then gessoed agaqin and then finally painted.  Now the secret's out.  LOL.  Glad you like it.
