I've been seeing the best image for a painting every day, for months..finally the other morn, just before sunrise, when the sky is that great cool blue-grey, and the few clouds are just right, when, as an Artist, the scene says HELLO! So, before the Mermaid project, I'm on another quickie landscape....Hopefully, it will also sell..(On a roll!) To get supplies for the Mermaid....

Jeanette, the painting "Jellies" is not a photo, but an oil painting.  I was inspired by the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, California.  It is an amazing place.  My sister used to live near there.

Dear Jeanette,

thank you for your comment on my painting "Kindred Spirits."  I came onto your website to see your work.  It is very interesting.  I mean that in a positive way.  People used to use that word when they didn't understand my work or even like it. but I don't mean it that way.  I really like your work.  I love the horses and especially the one of the woods.  it has a nice feel to it.  Thank you for sharing.  I, too, have had so many obstacles to painting in my life, and it had to take a back burner to so many things - like demanding jobs.  But, now I am able to concentrate all of my energy to it and it is wonderful.  Keep painting, in spite of everything.
