Website is Live!
DATE: 05/27/2008 16:39:21 / MOOD: happy

I have finally gotten my website live! It still needs a couple of sections completed and some tweeking done, but if I waited till it was perfect, I would never get it published. You can visit at www.jeanjudd.com and check out my studio and some of my commission work. Designing and doing it myself wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. Now I can update it whenever I want and there are no additional fees. I thought it was pretty inexpensive including registering the domain name, etc. Package deals are good! Jean

Creating Website
DATE: 05/21/2008 08:51:06 / MOOD: other

I have finally taken the leap into having my own website. I get lots of exposure on www.yessy.com but feel that I can have more content and showcase my work more effectively on my own site.

I was able to get the domain name I wanted finally and took the leap on Saturday, May 24th. I've been steadily working on creating the website. It is a breeze to add in photos of my work and write my own text.

There has also been moments of frustation too, but if I walk away for a while, I'm able to come back and usually resolve the issue quickly. I am hopeful to be fully up and running by possibly the beginning of next week.

I am using the webhosting site of www.startlogic.com They registered my domain name and provided all the software including a shopping cart feature for a very low price. My biggest decision was selecting from the over 100 design choices I had to pick from. After spending hours trying to decide, I opted for the simplest design so the pages won't distract the viewer from my art.

Will let you know when it is online so you can check it out.
