I heard back from the fist juried show I have entered since college and none of my entries were chosen. I'm of course disappointed but I know it comes with the teritory. I'm still excited about the show and can't wait to go see the opening.

I'm working on some oil paintings and have some other juried events I'm entering.

I have never writen or really even read a blog so I'm trying something new.

I just got back from a fantastic week of Camping with my family in North Alabama. It was so beautiful and I took over 700 photographs. I'm still working through them but I loaded my two favorites to the main gallery today. I plan to start working on some oil paintings today. I really have only worked in Acrylic but I bought a starter kit and played around with some small paintings recently and I loved the oils so now I'm excited to get some of things out of my  head on to a canvas with oil!

so there it is my very first blog and it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be.
