The Economy?

A song by Jeremy Camp is running through my head. Don't know the title-just some of the words, "I know You understand it all..." With all we hear from the media about the current economic situation (choose your opinion), it can be downright discouraging. What about artists? Do we just quit? Sure feel like it. Then I think of a man I met some time ago whose parents lived through the Great Depression- as artists! Then there's another I look up to: Jack White! All I can think to do with these examples is to keep plugging away the best I can. I don't claim to understand all the current troubles, but I know the One who sees through it all, whether it's all just driven by public opinion or not. Since He is faithful, there is hope!

Bujumbura Rastaman

Recently I finished "Bujumbura Rastaman," an acrylic on canvas! It is a portrait of a man I met in the capital city of Burundi. As you can see, he was a very colorful and confident person!

Congratulations to friends Ken & Dawn who "tied the knot" recently! 'Twas a beautiful day and I finished their portrait just in time (the day before). Not a perfect likeness, but hey, as long as they're pleased, I'm pleased. So happy for them!
