I work full time as a veterinary assistant at an emergency veterinary hospital. I have been drawing since I was 5 years old. For several years I focused on colored pencil art, and pencil drawings of wildlife, last year for my New Year's Resolution I resolved to paint again (hadn't painted in about 15 years) and I created several watercolor pieces and recently have been working on a series of acrylic paintings. Most of which can be seen at my website www.triciagriffith.net

My pencil drawing stays towards the wildlife art, I tend to use colored pencil for the fantasy and visionary work I do. The watercolors have been wildlife and visionary and the recent acrylics have been more free form and abstract (see "Spirit" in my gallery).

In the 'rest' of my free time, I have been involved in creating a virtual online artist community in Second Life (www.secondlife.com) called the Cetus Gallery District. There, I am president of the Association, and help to manage and develop the district along with its founder, Aaron Collins.

This district is home to nearly 30 galleries and artist studios. It has a Cafe where musicians and DJ perform. We have had book events, contests and artist events. Stop into Second Life and check us out. (You can look me up! My name there is Tricia Aferdita!)
