Tilly Strauss is an artist who resides in Dutchess County, NY on her grandfather’s farm. The subject of her painting has always been a mix of domestic bliss and restless escapism. A graduate of CU Boulder with a BFA and a BA, Tilly layers her brightly colored paintings with elements of history and narrative humor. A daily painter, Tilly exhibits locally and has found a successful following across the country. Her work has shown in the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, the Attleboro Museum, the Berkshire Museum, the Albany Center Galleries, St John’s University, the Boston CowParade and has been reproduced in the New York Times, the Poughkeepsie Journal, the Hudson Valley Table Magazine, the Pulse, the Millerton News, and the Harlem Valley Times, among others. |
