| ABOUT ME |
My work is constructed through multiple layers of paint and mixed media, building up in order to tear down and excavate the painting’s composition. I derive my imagery from acute observations and sub-conscious impressions about nature, landscapes and how introspective feelings coincide. The tactile surfaces express the rugged, serene and lively characteristics of my surroundings. Paint application, speed and gesture are also used to resolve emotional issues, aesthetic concerns and intricacies that deal with abstraction. |
