My life's passion is art. I have a BFA in painting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am a full-time exhibiting artist, married, with 3 great adult children. I served in the Air Force and spent 13 years in foreign countries. I enjoy painting both figuratively and abstractly, and I have two distinct bodies of work. Regardless of the genre, I am very interested in ethereal qualities of light, and elements of mystery in my work. My abstractions are mixed media concoctions, smaller figurative works are encaustic, and the large works are mostly in oil. I have to pinch myself, when I realize I get to make a living doing what I love to do most.

Fantastic works of art; wonderful dance and music performances, delightful, friendly people, great food--feelin good.

Pain, self-centered people, liars, "moveon.org-style" politics, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton-esque racism, elitist art critics and curators who believe they are at the top of the art food chain, radical self-proclaimed religious zealots.

Drawing from life, playing guitar, movies, looking at art, travel, chess, raquetball, ....

Hey,

Thanks for the comment you left a month ago. April was a nasty month for me, I didn't get much responding done. I did want to tell you how much I enjoy your redscapes and the similar works. I love how they tease me into one minute thinking they are completely abstract, and the next they are representational to a high degree. You have a great understanding of color and I think you use it well to express emotion. Great job.

Annoyingnoise, soon to change names, I think

Hello,

Thanks for the recent visit and compliments on my work!  I checked out your website.  You have beautiful work!  My favorites are "Encounter", "The 4th Ballerina", "Coalesce", "Redscape III", and "Ember".  Nice stuff!!!  (I'll have to check into Anton Christian's work.  Thanks for the recommendation.)
