My favorite artist is Ani DiFranco - when I am in the studio, she is typically who I am listening to (99.9% of the time).

At the present, I am reading about art related to depth psychology, along with the writings of Agnes Martin and a theoretical book on art, "Why is that Art?" by Barrett.

I enjoy a wide variety of movies and art films, though I tend to stay away from those which are too traumatic or untastefully graphic.

I am originally from Kansas City, Missouri and moved near Savannah in June of 2007. I absolutely love the weather patterns here, though I dearly miss the Midwest thunderheads - after all of my travels throughout the United States, I have yet to find their rival.

I come from what can be termed a "broken" family, which has had a dramatic impact on my work and, coupled with an influence from Nature, has provided me with a tremendous amount of conceptual and visual depth.

Of course, as with many artists, the most important aspect of working as an artist is that my work is taken for what it is, regardless of any individual interpretation: a free expression of thought and emotion.

I love discussing the subject of Art and have enjoyed contacting other contemporary artists to gain greater insight into their ideology and process. I welcome any communication about works of Art - my own, yours, or otherwise.

For me, nature is one of the purest enjoyments of life - sitting quietly outdoors, noticing the gentle caress of the wind, the warming sensation of the sun, the melodic harmonies of the creatures and rustling trees... I am fascinated by the natural world - its secrets, mysteries and beauties... all of these things bring peace to my inner Self and have great influence over my work.

I greatly dislike confrontation and negative attitudes.

My hobby is my family - specifically, playing and cooking together (indoors or out).
