I was adopted from South Korea when I was 8 years old. I consder myself a professional artist, although I have not made any money from it
I came up with a new technique in which I use matchsticks as my art medium. I always felt that my painting was not very good so I wanted to have a way of breaking from the pack and forge a new direction. I hope to continue in my art and succeed as well.

I like the process of thinking about, and creating art. I like movies, and reading books.

hypocritical people, digital art

reading, woodwork, sleeping

Wow! It's amazing, your art form. You have a very creative mind to even think of " painting with sticks".

Best, Alston

These are a couple of my matchstick paintings that I have finished.

I came up with a way of painting that is unique to me. I call it "painting with sticks".  I take matchsticks paint them with acrylic paint, each individually, and use them to make my picture.  I use thin wood panel and glue them on, it is a time consuming process, but the effect of the matchstick art is amazing. I am always looking to challenge myself in this medium. I hope you guys like the results as well as I do.   Thank you.
