I love your 2 new peices. You are a true realist.  For years I've tried to loosen up, but can't seem to.  I guess it's because that is the kind of art I like. Your work is exceptional.

Thanks so much for the kind comments about my work. Yours is stellar! Beautifully rendered, and very strong compositions. Are these watercolors?  Also, they remind me of the work of a friend of mine named Peggy Flora Zalucha. Do you know her or her work? - Kathy

Hey R, thanks for the comments. Actually my drawings are not large they
are all done on regular sized sheets of 8.5 x 11 70lb paper with a mechanical pencil and yes it is cool that I work in my relative line of business even though I'm in school, however as a freelancer I do come across ALOT of jobs/projects that don't interest or challenge me in the slightest so it's kind of annoying most of the time especially when I get graphic design jobs (Logos, flyers, brochures etc). I really just want to be a concept artist for films/games or even do a few graphic novels.   - Tynell

Thanks, R., and Happy New Year to you as well. Don't worry, I WILL keep on painting... I have to... it's how I maintain my sanity!!!    Keep those lovely paintings coming. Here's to a prosperous 2009.   -Don
