My art is simply the emotions of the heart that have been painted into words

Im a self taught artist and have been painting for over 30 years. My strong point in painting is human emotions. Actually, if it has a face, I can portray 'feelings'.

I fall in love hard and I hurt deeply. I paint best when I can express myself when I'm ecstatically happy or deeply in pain. So, actually that would mean my art is my diary. What is it 'they' say? Art imitates life?

My strong personal points are my humor, my compassion and my understanding nature.

Eccentric and eclectic, obtuse and illusive, I think/paint outside of the box. I'm a true Texas artist. Being Native American/Irish I'm very passionate about my art and all those around me that I love.

*A racehorse has to run, a bird has to fly, a teacher has to teach and an artist has to paint.*

There is something within you, that you have to do.

My steady fella and how his eyes shine when he looks at me, kissing in the rain, Old Spice, watermelon, The Cowboys, double rainbows, the full moon, sleeping in thunder storms, sleeping in my fella's t-shirt, sharing the remote control, chocolate cherries, cooking together is hot, winning at strip scrabble is awesome, looking at other artists paintings, getting within 12 inches of expensive art in a Museum.. And at the end of the day, its all about the way we make each other feel.

Press #1 for English, bad manners, whiners, bad punctuation, and that 3rd tequilla is pretty ugly.

Painting, biking, skiing, laughing until I snort, fishing, bowling, dominoes, card games, board games, no head games. Last but not least, my new found hobby is airplanes and the man that loves them.

thanks and thanks for taking the time to say.  ka ta dada is a piece from 1996 and as others have stated "makes me feel dirty".  it is about the disgust at being driven by instinct and sometimes questioning being the human animal.  i finally allowed myself to bring it out of the back room.

your 'about me' words ring all so true to myself also-you have an emotive speak about your art and i find that so refreshing.  best to you

Thanks for visiting; I left a comment on "Rage."  (Yes, I was quite angry when I painted that.)  I took a few painting classes in the early sixties--then fell in love with sculpture for about 35 years.  In 2002, I returned to painting.

Beautiful work here in your gallery

Hello,

Thanks for visiting my page and for your nice comment.

I love your portraits, they are very intense, and your kitty, that's just too sweet.

I wish I had better news. Quirky is nothing more than early onset snarky. Your friends call you quirky as part of a court-ordered community service. When their sentences have been commuted, here is what you will soon discover. (I know from experience.)

For years, you have received cards and gifts from them on your birthday. The gifts smell of fine leather and the cards are musical (Tequila Song, etc.). Before long, the gifts smell like a Goodwill store and there will only be one card (bulk from Sam’s Club) and they will all sign it. And then, without warning, your birthday will pass and no one will know it but you and the Bureau of Motor Vehicles who order you in for an eye exam.

The good news is that you can still paint long after the license has been revoked. I’m living proof.
