I'm an artist living in Little Rock, AR. I've been practicing my craft for over a decade now, and have been included in several competitives. My work is in private collections nationally. I've recently gone back to school to finish my degree and should be wrapping that up within a year.
My work tends to focus on the narrative and the urban - both subjects that I've always been drawn to. I believe in the power of words as much as image, and try to construct my titles to be as integral to the work as the image itself.

Hello Razorback Guy...I wanted to let you know that I lived near Bigelow, AR for 11 years until I begged my husband to move out of there...do you belong to the Arkansas League of Artists, based there in Little Rock?  IT's a wonderful group when I belonged waaaaaaaaay back in the 80's...very lively and supportive group.  Richard DeSpain was my pen and ink mentor...I still hold him in high esteem as one of the greatest masters of that medium. Your work, by the way is nice stuff!!!!

Thanks for your kind comment about my work and thanks too for getting back to me with the info about your work. Photoshop is an incredibly useful tool!  We are having  the rainiest Autumn I can remember! Nice weather to curl up and read by the fire and/or do some drawing.

Thanks for the comment!  I'm in Arkadelphia and exhibit at the Blue Moon Gallery in Hot Springs.  You should come down some first Friday and visit...lemme know ahead of time and I'll plan on being there.  Sometimes I stay at home and paint.  You've got some great work going, too.  I just came to UALR a few weeks ago to see that great Rembrandt/Durer exhibition.

I just read the interview and was so interested in your own art history and evolution as an artist.  I wish I had read it before Easter, because we spent Easter Sunday in Half Moon Bay and I would have looked for the bookstore and your work there!   Being an abstract colorist, I am attracted to work that is not "photoghraphic" and one of the greatest influences on my life as an artist has been Georgia O'Keefe.  I was priviledged to see an exhibition of many of her originals at the art museum in Honolulu in 1996.  Have a great day.
