Hello Jared - thank you for requesting to be a friend...I'm sure you'll never remember me among your hundred friends, but I'm grateful that anyone notices my work.  I studied art at the University of Oregon, but I've never really known what "studio art" is supposed to mean...could you elaborate? - Linda

Thanks for your comments. I truly appreciate them. My BW pieces are pen and ink originals. I try to do a couple of ink drawings a day. They calm me and I enjoy doing them. Your work is very very impressive and I really admire them. What an accomplishment! Thanks for sharing.

Those are encaustic. You know, wax. LOL Most people can't tell what it is even when they have it right in front of them . i'm glad you enjoyed them.

Hi Jared, thanks for your comment on my "Fields of May" pastel.  I have been working on a new surface that is very textural, and I appreciate that you noticed it.  I've checked out some of your gallery and you have a lot of interesting work, I especially like the architectural pieces!  Thanks for veiwing my work and for your kind words, Laurie

Hi Jared, thanks for turning me on to dailypainters.com.  It was very inspiring.  At the moment I'm somewhat busy with the university and other gallery work but I think I'll have time soon to push towards becoming a member of the site.  I just uploaded a few new images if you want to check them out as well as a new blog http://www.stevenwalkerstudios.blogspot.com  Thanks again! -Steven
