Jared, thanks for your comments... You ask about the signature - I sign them two different ways, depending on what they are painted on. When on canvas I sign them with small brush. However, most of the Plein Air pieces are painted on primed panels, pretty smooth surface. I sign those with the handle end of a brush I have- the handle is cut at an angle, maybe for scraping off paint, I don't know. But it makes a great "pen" on the smooth panels - just scrapes the paint off down to the primed panel surface.

Love your work. The landscape colors brought me in, but you have so much more. So diverse, all so beautiful.

Jared, I love your latest landscape... even with the storm I find it relaxing...nice color.

Thanks for your encouraging words, I really appreciate it. I am, however, struggling with this oil painting thing. I am finding it more difficult to move over from an "illustration" mindset, which was for me very detailed work, into the direction I am trying to go- less detail, or at least controlled detail. Where I used to just do what seemed to be natural for me, now I am trying to focus on edges, color, values, etc. and am finding it challenging. I am hoping some of these "painterly" things will click... When I look back at some of my recent past work, I wonder - "What was I thinking when I painted that?

Hi there!

I really liked the comment you left on "Prisoner of Life", and how you actually related the painting to a short story you read.  I will definitely check out "Yellow Wallpaper" online and read that story.  Thanks again for the admirable comments on my work.

Thank you so much for your kind comments!... and thanks for checking out my blog and letting me know about the misspelling, I'm thrilled you liked it (I'm really new at this).

I'll see you around, my friend, keep up the good work!

Hi friend, Sorry for taking so log to reply. The lanscape you saw is 6" x 12". I am addicted to the lanscape format. I love your credit card, I think if America would use credit cards the way you do, the economy would be stronger, . I want to spend more time visiting the site but my life is kinda crazy right now...Enjoy your out-of-school experience, if you are like me, soon you'll have school withdrawal. I went back because I could not stand being without the learning and stress experience.

That's not a bad idea; wearing my ribbon all day.  Of course, I'll have to wait until the show is over since I'm bragging all over the wall right now.  Maybe when I get the ribbon and the piece back, I can carry the watercolor around all day and get some extra attention.

I'm kidding of course.  Thanks for the comment
