Hi Sandy-  just checking in with you.  How are you and what have you been up to?  I am crazy here until kids go back to school then I can actually get back in the studio... I have stuff all over the place.   HA!    Will talk to you later okay?   Big hug to you.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.  May you have the best Christmas this year and for the New Year- much happiness and peace.  I noticed you lost your husband and I am sorry to hear about that.  Grief is so hard but also necessary.  My mother is going to heaven soon and I am painting the grief  I am experiencing and all the other emotions that I am going through now.  It isn't easy by any means and I am grateful for the artistic outlet for my emotions.  I am thinking of you and praying God will continue to give you wisdom and strength to continue to go through the journey.  Paint your heart girlfriend!

My Christmas card to you:  In the quiet moments of a winters day May you reflect on the peace and meaning of Christmas.

I was actually born in Ohio.  My ancestry is Iroquois.  They spanned New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio at one point in history.  The Cherokee were part of the Iroquois at one time so we are sisters.  (A nice thought)

Hi Sandy,

Oh I am so sorry about your husband! I know that must have been extremely difficult for you. I am so happy you are pursuing your dream. My mom did the same thing when my dad passed away from cancer - she painted, and now teaches classes in her neighborhood!  I don't know what I would do if I lost my husband - I guess I would paint furiously to keep busy. I feel bad - I wish I could give you a hug! Keep the faith girlfirend!  Life gives us crooked paths, but things will work out when you give them a chance. Hugs, cathy

Way to GO!!  I am so happy for you!  Of course, it doesn't surprise me in the least that you made it to ArtCalendar with the wonderful, awesome work you do!   Congrats!

Did you see that the Burridges are going to Italy in 2009?  I rec'd the Sedona Arts mailing yesterday and noticed that they are planning a trip. I would love to go and might investigate the possiblity.

It is very nice here now- well, in the 30's, and that is nice compared to what it was. I am finding the older I get, the more I want warmth. HA!  Busy here with stuff to do and Holiday plans.  Having company stay and such.  But, for today, I will do some painting and run errands, take the dog for a walk, (that's my quiet time where I think and dream and thank God for my life) and then my daughter has a concert tonight to enjoy.  Happy painting-keep up the fantastic work!   You go girl!   HA!

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the input on the Burridges. My faith is restored. I'm sure I'll take a class from them sometime. Are you planning to take any more?

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the Input about Burridge. I fell in love with them just by reading the website. I can't imagine working with him.  I'd probably faint.  haha. I even put a little intro and a link to his site from mine. I e-mailed him to ask if it was okay (because I swiped a picture and some text to do it) He never replied. So now I feel a little like gum on his shoe.  Bummer.

I love your abstracts. The color and illusion. Excellent!
