I like blues the best, I suppose, but it all has something to offer.

The World According to Garp.

The Princess Bride, Casablanca, Young Frankenstein.

NEVER GIVE UP!

I am a full-time artist and decorative painter. YAY!!

I've decided life is too short to have regrets, so I'm living my life, following my talents and taking care of those I love.

Stay tuned for more dreams realized!

Artists, musicians, scientists, and original thinkers.

Negative and rude people.

Music, hiking, cooking, knitting, running, learning stuff

Hey Ya, Thank you so very much for the comments.  I am so sorry for
the incredibly long delay.  I think something was wrong with my
account.  Your comment showed up today (03/11/08)  but on the comment,
it shows a date in January.  Not sure why.

Love the black
and white mural.  I am in a black and white stage right now.  Not sure
why.  just kinda worked out that way LOL... I am sure the color will
come back in my life.

Anyway, keep up the awesome work.  Hope to speak soon.

P.S.  Go for it.  I left the corporate world (Bio-medical Engineering) to be in the art world 100% just over a year ago.  Follow your dreams.

Thanks for the nice comments.  I'd love to know the story behind the 'trees "throwing hearts".  I look forward to the rest of the series.  Good luck with the art!!!

Nice work :-) Seems like having the design business would give you plenty of opportunity to be full time. Are you trying to get out of the design business and just focusing on the art?

I've been meaning to get on and comment back- - I'm 48- my kids are grown and left, and now all I can think about is art and what I want to do and how to get it out there.  What sort of business do you have as a faux artist? Do you have another job? That's my problem- I work in an Equine Vet Clinic full time, so I have to do my creating at night. How do you advertise/promote your business?

Hi Rebecca,

Can't wait to see more of your wrok, it looks great.  I also am working towards becoming a self-supported artist this year.  You should check out Jack White's art books, they are AWESOME.  Go to www.senkarik.com and start with the 1st book The Mystery of Making It.  I couldn't put it down.  I love you name on the site "seagirl".

I'm really amazed at the detail quality of your work!  I can really appreciate it. Fun site to have joined, huh?  I really like it here also. Take care, Barbara  I'll check out your etsy site also. Do you like having work there? I was considering doing that soon. Barbara

Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for your compliments on my work; my day just got brighter! You are so right, it is a rare pleasure meeting other artists like yourself. I noticed that you are already making most of your living selling your artistry. It sounds to me that that same confidence will serve you well in selling more of your personal work. Many artists make a living with their art through commercial venues then transition to selling more fine art work including myself. This is such an open community where people are willing to share their experience and talents; it’s just awesome. It would be an honor if I could be of any help to you with your journey, that’s what friends are for.

Warm Regards, David
