Hi Matt,  I love these last three pieces.  You seem to be simplifying and abstracting your images more in your latest work.  It gives it an ethereal quality that is very beautiful.  Carmela

Thank you for your kind email.  I just subcribed to scuttlebut and I'm still getting used to using this site.  From the emails on your page, I understand that you're a self taught watercolorist.   That is pretty impressive because it is a medium that is not forgiving and hard to do.  I started off doing watercolor and it truly requires careful planning.  At least in my case as my work tends to be very detailed.  Keep up the great work.

Robin, I dont, but have seen that book on occasion and I always want to buy it, but never seem to have the extra $$.

I have to ask you, do you have the book "The Tao of Watercolor" by Jeanne Carbonetti? for someone who is self taught, you must have a natural gift with this medium.

Thanks for your encouraging comments on "Dentistree" Didn't know how many people would actually know that Quercus is the latin name for oaks.  I have a whole series of these in my head- just need the time to get them on paper.  I'm looking into giclee printing, and making tiny steps toward getting my stuff out there.  Several people have mentioned children's books, but I dont' know how to go about it.  Do you sell your art?
