Although my artistic endeavors began at a young age with numerous creations, I would claim that my most significant artistic growth has occurred primarily in midlife: a contemplative period where my life experiences and creativity seem to have collided. After recently completing my BA in art, with an emphasis in fibers as well as graphics, I have sought to artistically hit the ground running.

I live in Canton, Ohio, with my husband and three children. I am the curator at 2nd April galerie, a local arts hub that not only exhibits local artists’ work, but also helps to promote the arts more widely in the community. In addition, I am committed to creating and exhibiting my own artwork.

I seek to fuse my love of photography, graphics, and fibers into conceptual works, attempting to reveal a visual poetry of sorts and trying to create intriguing metaphors for the viewer to discover and contemplate. Recurring themes in my predominantly fibers/mixed media works include the transience of life in time, as well as the feelings evoked by diverse natural, cultural, and architectural spaces. To this end, I enjoy travel, both for the adventure of finding new spaces and for fresh imagery to photograph and incorporate into my subsequent work.

I hope you enjoy my work!

Your artwork is gorgeous and inspiring. It's eerie and has the most astonishing depth!  Wow!  I'm very impressed.
