Left CT at 17 for NYC. Fashion Institute of Technology graduate, worked in the fashion biz for 25 years. Returned to CT, married and moved to NJ, then NYC. I wrote three well-rejected novels while my husband toiled at IBM. Cancer came, we moved back to CT. I am a caregiver since 2004. My art keeps me sane, inspired, hopeful. We live on the water, the CT side of Long Island Sound. It's perfect.

Lizabeth, thanks for your nice comment.  I like the way you layer natural objects in your art. Best wishes with the three shows.  Nice problem to have...

Thanks for being a friend, Lisabeth! As soon as I saw the tiger lillies on your page I knew I was welcome. My parents used to have tiger lillies in their yard, and one year when they had finished blooming and the stems dried out I braided a few of them together. They would curl around in interesting shapes as I briaded them. Then every year after that I put them on our Christmas tree as ornaments. I would plant some where I live but the deer would eat them.

Hi Lisabeth *

Your messages were fun to get... Bright spots in my email ritual! Thank you!

I guess I just try to paint from a place of stillness and let the painting unfold organically, with out putting to much energy into the finished product. Each piece is a glimpse into the magical, unseen world of energy that exists happening alongside our modern world.  Alaska is boundless with inspiration - my eyes are always feasting : ) I live just outside the town of Fairbanks in the Interior of Alaska. An "Arctic Desert." I wasn't aware of Stebbin's -- I am going to look it up on a map.

What inspired you today?
