To capture a moment, to feel it's spirit; this is what drives me to paint not for myself but for the viewer. Whether it's riding the perfect wave or a stolen moment with natures finest, brushing away the white of the canvas to reveal the spirit of the image beneath is the secret behind my work. "The Ocean is my sacred place, it is here that the boundaries shift between nature and I am able to gain insight and access to a deeper level of awareness."

My love of nature runs deep in my soul. I had my first solo show last year and through my proceeds made from sales I was able to donate a portion to the Marine Education Research and Rehabilitation Institute (MERR), located in Lewes, DE. I believe art is a wonderful resource for raising public awareness and facilitating funding for our local groups.

I hope in some way through my art I can help promote and protect our natural wonder and the place I call home.

You've done a beautiful job on your paintings.  I really appreciate your attitude toward painting also, and I'll check out more the conservation artist site you mention. Several years ago I did a fundraiser for Surfrider because I loved their direct 'test the water, clean the beach' approach. I think they called it the 'non-point source sollution.'  But what a big job! I will check in more to keep up with your work.

Great work.  I love "Standing Watch-Revisited".  I am amazed at how many "beach people" there are on this site.  It's wonderful!

Your work resembles the work of one of my friends whenever he makes landscapes.  He's not on here but you may want to check him out http://www.chelmsstudio.com.  Although I haven't seen your paintings in person, they look to be a little bit stronger than his

Beautiful,  I especially like "breaktime at indian river".   But they're all very beautiful.
