Hi Kathleen - I have been curious if people understand sumi-e drawings or if they would just prefer to see a watercolor painting with lush colors but your comment is reassuring to me that its all good.. thank you for that.

Kathleen, in answer to your question about "Miracle.."....I only have bits and pieces of a narrative for the painting, but nothing really solid...something about the passing of all animals on the earth and the people being devasted by such a grievous loss fashion a likeness out of hides...and the animals eventually begin to have life of their own....

Hi Kathleen - "Happy" and "Exuberance" are my first 2 mixed media collages using fragments of silk paintings plus lots of other materials. I wasn't sure how I felt about them, but thanks to positive comments from you and others, I'm very encouraged - thank you!

Ah, thanks for checking out my beach glass jewelry!  It made so much sense that it caught your eye once I saw what you work with. :)  Thanks for the comments, too.  Although you probably can't see it in the photo, the green pendant on the far right has the number 33 perfectly off-center.  Good old Rolling Rock beer washed onto the Lake Erie shore!  What better way to spend time than recycling beach trash - yay!!!!!

Kathleen, thank you for your comments - I'm honored that you enjoyed my 'body of work' because it's the first time I'm actually starting to find out what that means and dedicate time to doing it.  Maybe I can someday say 'WOW I'm meeting with my first gallery' too -- CONGRATS....you have beautiful artwork - I especially love the movement and colors in your stained glass -- Estes Aspen and Tower Falls at Yellow Stone...gorgeous...:)  Namaste!

Kathleen, many thanks for all your encouraging comments. Your work is just breathtaking. The jewelry pieces are magnificent.

The painting you are wondering about does have a narrative but it is still in the early writing stages......I get bits and pieces. It was just accepted into a show in Sept,so I am excited to see folks reaction and get their feedaback.

Thanks for your comment about my sandblasting. I am going to frame that in stained glass and make it a christmas present for one of our daughters.  So you will appreciate it.  Check out our stained glass site.

I like your work. Arlene Wright-Correll
