Hi, Thanks for the nice comment about my work. The "Wine Series" is gouache on paper and each painting (there are twelve) is 19" x 15". Each painting took about a hundred hours from composing the set-up to painting completion. I've sold half of the originals and a large number of the giclee' reproductions. BTW ... your work is wonderful! Very expressive, dynamic, and imaginative. Well done! - Kathy

Karen, Thanks for your comments on "Afterglow". I really enjoyed painting him...it was almost like he painted himself. It was just one of those fun, fortuitous moments in time when everything just clicks. I wish they'd happen more often.   -Don

Well it's difficult to say how long each one takes. I rarely finish one piece completely before starting another. Some assignments have several images in a set due at the same time.

All the sketches are done, then all are transfered, then color studies, and so on. When I get a new commission the schedule gets modified to work them all concurrently.

Nightmare is a card I created for the Magic: the Gathering game. It is an iconic image from the game and my fans recognize it readily so Nightmare artist was a natural fit.
