hello Karen - I loved the work in your gallery but was disappointed when I tried to see more of your art at the web address you listed above your profile pic. I hope to see it up and running someday! -Jared

Hi Karen,  Thanks for inviting me to be a "friend".  I'm new to this... what does being on a "friend" list mean?

You know what, there is a little James Taylor in the mix. He's from North Carolina originally, as am I.

Interesting side note:  My wife and I had the opportunity to see James Taylor in concert this past December and he is still phenomenal. What a true talent.

BTW, Your message box is full...       -Don

Hi Karen, I'm glad you like this image. For the past few years I had been "dabbling" as a painter while I focused on my career as an Art Director in television. When I painted "Anywhere the Wind Blows" earlier this year it all came together. I knew I was getting somewhere and a hunger rose up in me which now cannot be satiated. That's why I chose this painting as my profile image...and the title fits my current frame of mind as an artist. Thankfully the wind is blowing pretty strong right now..  -Don

Ha ha. I used to have "four eyes" too before I started wearing contacts. From the portrait it seems as if you had bown hair then too..It's an incrediable painting! Do you paint all of your work in oils? Thanks for adding me as a friend, hop to talk to you soon!
