Thanks for your kind remarks on my work a few weeks back.  Sorry for no response at the time.  I wish you well in all your endeavors.  Like your "Sun Worshiper: piece.  Nice drams.

Hi Karen,

This photo of you on your profile page is just great.  Thanks for your comments on my image of the Pantheon, and a one hour exposure. Film  works funny in that the longer you expose, the less sensitive it becomes.  So the difference between 15 minutes to one hour is very little.  Just the amount of time you need to talk with onlookers as your camera is aimed at the sky.  You have been a top favorite of mine for a long time...I really appreciate who you are and what you do.  Best wishes,  Gary  :-)

Hi Karen, Every time I look up there's a different image of you for your icon. And they're all great. Some people just take great photos... And now you've changed the colors on your profile page - I like this a lot better. I can read everything pretty easily now...old eyes, you know...   -Don

Karen, I love your thoughtful, in-depth comments regarding my work. "Down Time" IS a bit of a change of pace for me. I am now working on a companion piece which will finish the story I'm trying to tell. You can get a sense of where I'm going with this on my blog: www.donmichaeljr.com/blog. I think you'll find you're on the right track with your insights...   -Don

You make me blush...

Hi Karen, Thanks for your insights on "Don't Break This Spell". I'm glad you were able to connect to this piece on the level I was coming from. I had fun using a different color palette on this one. As I approached completion I found myself doing exactly what you described - getting lost in the eyes because of the jewels and not being able to look away. Some paintings seem to develop a life of their own...    -Don

Well, I don't know if you ever heard it, its a very old song  in spanish, caled "Alfonsina y el Mar" (Alfonsina and the sea), I think you could find  it if online if you want to hear it.

Hi Karen, thank you for your kind comments about my painting 'the fifth light'. The lines are pretty straight though I think the reason for the sharpness is the size of the original; 48"x30".  Thank you for making me a friend too.

Warmest Regards, David

Thanks Karen, I'm glad you like Moonchild. My girlfriend Anne-Marie in Kiss make-up, stretched until her head resembles an egg. Quite a romantic moment captured in that weird little painting. But speaking of pop icons, I saw you had a George Carlin portrait. That could only be him, with those eyes. He's a favorite of mine. A rarity in stand-up, and I miss him. But pleased to meet you, and I enjoyed looking at all your work. Hope to see much more.

 Lee
