Sorry Kara,

i forgot to answer your question.  no, my work isn't watercolor, or not primarily, anyway.  Most of it is monotype with added mixed media.

Thanks for the very kind comments about my work.  Yes, I did change my photo because my friends thought it didn't look like me.  It's great to hear from you again.

Thanks for the compliment on my work! I really enjoy yours as well, especially "Birdie"! You and I definitely have a lot of similar likes...and I have been camping in Yosemite. That place is the very definition of majestic. I definitely want to get back there soon, and want to visit King's Canyon as well. I just love California from Monterey on up; haven't been south of there, haven't seen any reason to!!

PS Good luck with the funk...If you get tired of it you might have to force yourself back to the studio regardless, perhaps a bouquet of flowers INSIDE will help.

That is a reallly good question, "what is your inspiration?"

It
is really the quintessential  question for the artist to answer as a
part of their statement, and I have been thinking about it since you
posted the question.  I think it might be the seed for a statement
revision for my next show.

For now, I would have to say that my
inspiration comes from a 'religion of the landscape', my need to
reconnect to the world of spirit through meditation on the natural
world.

I really love the humming bird piece.  I am ingesting an Art Nouveau book I got at Borders for ideas on furniture, and our friend Klimpt has a few pieces, all curly-cued there.  Both of you are inspirational; you for the gentle and happy nature of your work, decorative and no doubt easy to live with.

OK, I get the hint - I will post a few more photos from Paris this weekend, I just hate to do the usual tourist stuff.  How was the crawl?

You are awesome!!!  You totally made my birthday (today)!  Thanks so much for passing along the link to that book.  It was really good.  It reminds me of many of the books I read, just put into different words.  I won't be online very long today; But I just had to let you know/thank you.

Be Well,
