I teach high school art, and I paint mostly in oil (generally landscapes), create collage, work in clay, make jewelry.
I am represented in two galleries in the Cleveland area. One on the east side, the other on the westside. Cleveland has this division thing going with the Cuyahoga river. You need a passport to go across!
I am also a yoga teacher.

Have a great opening...add my toast to a gorgeous landscape, and woof down some cheese for me!

Art and Fear is a good book, and a good title, I thought, to titled work artists who have probably read Eric M. columns, if not books.

Karl Sprinchorn is the name of the artist, he painted something call lightening over somehellofaplaceorother.  I can't find a web link.  you will find plenty of his images if you look. His painting inspired Summer Storm.

Hey Mary Ann,

Yes the work is new...It is canvas that I sewed on fabric before I stretched it.  then I painted on the fabric.  the fruit is heavy impasto, and it sticks out almost 3 dimensionally... but you can't see it on the photo...

I got a color for you to try, its one of my favorites:

New Gamboge Lake .  It is only available from Old Holland.  Its history as a color is veiled in mystery and legend, and it is a nice deep earthy golden yellow.  Perhaps you already have it, front and center on the palette?

I really love your work.  This is all oil on canvas?  How big are you painting?  Sorry to ask so many quuestions, but I think you have a great eye and your title presents it beautifully.  I just cannot tell from the photos what size they are.  I think some of them would work on a large scale, and maybe they are large, but I don't know.   Anyway, keep up the good work
