An artist living and working in New England, Gregory paints landscapes using vivid and extrodinary colors. He describes his work as expressionist, after the movement that arose around the time of World War One. He has been influenced by their subjectgation of realism in favor of the use of form and color to portray stronger feeling, imaginary scenes or symbols their work.

Gregory also sculpts, and this discipline has influenced his approach to the simplification of forms in his painting.

HA ha, I don't even own a #20 filbert. But if you gave me one you would have to give me a very LARGE piece of paper.

okay, i just read about the values in aerial perspective.  it makes sense given that things farther away are 'fuzzier or softer' so the value changes would be subtler.

i paint intuitively and it's good for me to think about things like this.

thanks!

I'm not sure how you meant making fun of things sacred- the Algonquin word moose means "twig eater".  Yes, I do like to include humor- sometimes I think of a title before the piece is even on paper.  I love Robin's way of letting paint flow- much different than my details- but then, it takes all forms of art to make the world go round.

The family resemblance in my latest post is they are brother and sister...no relation to me though. Customer's kids.

Excellent paintings on your end. Especially like "reflections" and "Valley View" - have that loose whimsical feel.

A friend of mine is building a new house in Cornwall VT. His property and house looks beautiful! Hope to get up to that area sometime in the near future.

Thanks for visiting my site.  This shop serves coffee with cream and coffee art.  I like your work.  My favorite is White Pines.  Very exciting.  ~ Lisa

Hey, I was in a really happy mood when I viewed your art...My vision was of myself actually just dancing to the music, which I like to do as I paint...and then I just thought of mangos and Island music and well actually I had a bikini on in my vision......and by the way..I did mention the same thought to Mary Ann...your work and her work are very vibrant and beautiful..

sorry if I offended you!

Yes I definitely think there is an energy attached to ones art...and I do attribute this energy to my sales....
