I have been painting for about 8 years now, and just began working full-time as an artist in September 2007 when my husband and I created Goble Studios. My first artistic passion is working in watercolors, which I studied in college, and have won awards both at the national level and the local level. I also find enjoyment in providing graphite pet portraits for pet lovers of many kinds, and painting murals, both in homes and businesses.
I am a member of the Watercolor USA Honor Society and the Lancaster County Art Association.

I invite you to visit my websites to learn more about myself and Goble Studios, and to enjoy more of my artwork.

Painting and drawing of course (although it is a job at times). Camping, hiking, and biking with my husband, playing with our dogs, running, playing piano, activities with church, just looking at the world around me.

Silicate paint is also known as mineral paint. it is made specifically to go on concrete, brick, stucco, etc. Any inorganic surface. If appleid correctly, it won't fade, and it won't chip - ever! Check out Keim.com for more  info.

Diane -

Thanks for writing. I use a lot of acrylic house paint, actually. Porter's Acri-Shield is really good stuff. I also use Liquitex, Golden, and if teh situation calls for it, I use silicates.

Keep up the good work!

Hi Diane, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and insightful comments on "Silence Gives Consent". This was one of the few masks that I've painted with the title already determined before-hand. I didn't want to end up with just another skull painting. It had to have some kind of meaning or I wouldn't have painted it.

I love your "Bubble Duckies". Really nice job. And for charity... Good for you! I know it's hard to part with your artwork for free, but I believe it takes giving to get...  Keep up the great work.   -Don

Hi Diane, thanks for taking a look at the Fredericksburg show pieces.  Storms Acomin is one of my favorites as well.  Hopefully it sells....hopefully they all sell..ha ha.  How's work been lately?

Yup...a fast sasshay through your gallery...you are one of the artists that I see as realistic...and versatile!  I love the details on your butterfly wall...wow, wow, and give me a wall like that!

I don't have time to go into detail about your fine critique because I have some things I have coming up here...but I wanted to let you know that what you provided was exactly what I was trying to look for...and it was helpful, and it will cause me to think things through (contrast and value)...I want to take time to really enjoy your work...looks pretty sharp, just here on your profile page.  Till later, then...and thank you many times over!

I like your works, your animals look great (done in charcoal, pencil?) How much time do you spend on an average size work of art? you're good!
