Hi flstormz~

Thank you for viewing my gallery, and I've perused yours, too.  Impressive!  I'm sure it's only the tip of the iceberg, but you appear to be like me: everything interests and it's difficult to settle into one particular title by which the world knows one.  Yup.  I can relate to that.  Everything you're showing is delicious, though.  Very sophisticated stuff!  I'll check back again for any new postings!

Thanks for your comments on my latest piece.

I have just checked out your gallery and I see you do both realistic work and abstract.  Which do you prefer doing?

I think art comes in non-linear waves.  I will need to rewrite my retrospective so it makes some sense one day.  Perhaps work comes as both a reminder or the past and harbinger of future visions, untied to the linear constraints of time.  I have been looking in my old sketch books from art school and finding messages to me from the past.

I guess that make galleries crazy.  Since my 'Valley' sold, I guess I should make more like it, says the capitalist in me.

Could you arrange for some sun Saturday, i will be in Tampa, and am getting a wee bit tired of all the ice! it just sheared the chimney off my studio wood stove!

You have a wide range of work: realism, impressionism, abstract.  I have a slightly narrower range, and worry some times that if I get too spread out, I will have a harder time marketing.  Then other times, I think I need to keep at the work where ever it goes, even if over time several parallel track of work develop. greg

Thanks for the comment...it made me smile.  I had a great afternoon of painting yesterday and today its freezing cold outside with strong winds and many inches of snow on the way..your comment shifted my outlook which was kindof ho-hum this morning.

Right, it is hard to see the where the paint is scratched off, but  for the most part it is where the trees branches are in the sky.  It is evident up close and in person!  Something to mess around with some more--.  Are the two paintings shown above new?  I like both of them.  There is something about the directness of the gaze of the girl that is appealing and keeps my attention.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, the abstract landscapes are the direction I'm pursuing. I love your portrait of the young girl. Very compelling.
