Thanks-- the messages boxes only hold a handful, and I don't like to delete any of them! The Levels palette (Ctrl+L) works wonders... just move the sliders around until you like it. If your photo starts to look a little washed out, try using the Hue/Saturation palette (Ctrl+U)and boost the color saturation up.

Flstormz, Thanks for visiting my gallery and the nice comments. I think your "Silver Tray Display" painting was awesome!

Hi, I read your blog, commented too, but I have to ask what you think about using the site, 'Flickr'? I saw the diptych you are working on (it looks wonderfully serene and beautiful so far) as it was posted there and wondered if you have alot of "action" from using that particular site.

Thanx for the comments.  I enjoyed looking at your paintings too.  Neat portraits of the kids.  Dianne

Thanks for the comment on my blog- it's nice to be able to find common points of view with other artists. I also enjoyed your work... regardless of your studio space ;).

The Ireland paintings are large!  Do you enjoy commission work?  I haven't done many, I seem to get blocked and somewhat anxious about the expectation.

I was in Ireland two summers ago and it is well worth the trip.  I hope to go back in a few years and stay for 3 weeks or more, rent a place and paint, paint, paint!  I'd rent a house with enough rooms so friends, family could stay and help cover the rent.  I painted 8 small paintings last time and it was a great experience in so many ways to paint on location.  The people are wonderful, the landscape is beautiful.  Ireland is a mystical place. (of course the fact that I'm Irish isnt influencing my opinions! no bias here!)
