Since I can remember, I have called myself an artist. At the ripe age of 38, I began to learn to paint in oils. I love it. I also sculpt and use other media (acrylics, etc. I have taken a few workshops and studied at a atelier for some time.

Life became recently HUGE and I stepped away from my art for awhile to concentrate on the big issues I faced..I am now back with gusto! Ready to learn and ready to create...

My studio is calling. I plan to create more portraits, and figurative art as well as branching into the semi-abstract. I will post more pictures as I go...

Peace, Painting, Artists, really green grass, painting in orange tones, reading, movies, politics (liberal),freedom of speech, how art can unify people, children's laughter, passion, how dogs can love unconditionally, running, marathons, honesty, positive attitudes, "sucking the marrow out of life"

People who have no opinions
War
insincerity
People who are constantly negative
Those who refuse to step "outside the box"

Website design, online retail work, reading art books, dogs, working out, running, marathons, my pets: Henry a sweeter than honey Basset Hound and Annie the darling Pug who must run everything.

Your work is so beautiful!  I particularly like "Maria," perhaps because I work in black and white...  Thank you for visiting my gallery and for your kind words.  Can you tell me what the procedure is for obtaining "friends"?  Carol

Thanks for visiting and commenting on "Through All Trials."  I love your work - very impressive.  Reading your info. on this page, I noticed your comments on HBO's John Adams.  I absolutely loved it.  The acting - Giamatti as John - amazing!  I am also reading the bio now, too.   Every American should  see that series.  What a great appreciation it gave me for what our founders went through.  Lucinda

Dear Fearlessartist,

I would like to join your group.  I consider myself a fearlessartist and have always done what I needed to do to support my art and life.  The biggest thing I ever did when I was 24, single and living in my home city of NY was to buy a place in Spain from money I got selling my art.  That was in 1970 and I have never looked back.   A fearlessartist believe in her/himself and does what they need to fulfill their dreams. diane leon
