Nope, I haven't had much luck with Litho!

Thanks!

I took my first printmaking class 13 years ago and did my first relief print 12 years ago.

I prefer relief, however in the last couple years I've been trying to get back into doing more intaglio, screenprints, and lithography.

Very dynamic designs and vivd colors! How large are these paintings and what is the medium? I like them a great deal! - Kathy

I have been using a retarder by Golden. Seems to work in delaying dry time and helps with blending. But definitely thins the paint and therefore you need layering if you want an opaque finish. Art is a never ending experiment : )

Let me know how Floetrol works for you. I'd like to know if it works any different than the standard retarder I use.

Thank you for your comments about my paintings.  Over the last year or so I began painting abstract art and am fascinated with it!  What a wonderful kind of art.  I feel like I am playing.  I love your work!  PS I am also a Suns fan!!

I learned painting and drawing the old school way so I have some drawing skills. Not a master by any means though : ) The painting of the trees came from a photo I took. If I didn't have the photo as reference the results would have been completely different I'm sure.

Question - you have nice paint fluidity in your work...do you use a retarding medium or water (or both) when you're painting?

Thanks for the comment Deb - I went to your website after seeing a few of your new uploads - WOW, I love your work! There were a bunch that really stood out to me ("Standard...", "Trading...", "I Thought...", "Windows...", "Wanderlust", "Blue Jazz", "Martini...", "Hiding"). These abstracts/non-representational are the types of pieces I get the most joy out of painting. I don't know about you, but they are also the most frustrating to create!
