Hi Catherine, Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. You are right, "Sweet Tooth" is pretty scary. What's funny is that this is the first mask I've painted that I can actually say that about. Others have found some of my masks scary - but I couldn't see it until this one. "Sweet Tooth" is hanging in my office right now and people I work with react to him pretty strongly until I tell them his title. Then they kind of chuckle and relax. It's pretty cool...   -Don

Hi Catherine,

I'm glad you enjoyed "Where's the Easy Button?". The title refers to the theme I was going for with this painting. To quote part of my blog about this painting, "The currents of life continually push me towards the precipice. I’m still fighting those currents, but sometimes I feel my toes kicking out over thin air. Maybe I can start gaining some ground soon…". Every time I post a painting I also post a blog about it at: www.donmichaeljr.com/blog.

Thanks for asking...   -Don

Hello Catherine! Glad that you like my "Garden Gate", you are right, it could be a great watercolour, I am tempted to give it a go, but these days there is too much going on! Will you give it a go?

Keep up the good work and all the best! Paola

Hello Catherine! Great to hear from you, many thanks for your kind comments about "More Roses". The artwork is one of my original colour photographs that I digitally manipulated, I was trying to get a painterly effect, a more ethereal effect despite the fairly intense pink!

Many thanks for taking the time to view my work, with best wishes, Paola

Hi Catherine, Thanks for stopping by and checking out "Don't Break This Spell". I had experimented with a couple color combinations I had not used before on this one and really enjoyed the results. I especially liked your "Aegean Sea" analogy. I can definitely see what you're talking about. Thanks again...   -Don
