Hello, my name is Faith and I have always been interested in the arts, but have only recently discovered i can paint. My first painting was the one in my gallery called Riverpool i did in August of 07 and i still think it's my best yet. My cousin wanted me to paint him a river scene. I told him not to expect much because i have never painted before. To my surprise i was actually doing a good job. It was not easy in any way but considering how proud i was afterward and the fact that i can actually paint has turned me on to maybe the idea of a career in painting. All of the paintings in my gallery are just paintings i've done for family members. I am currently working on a new series of paintings that are a lot different from what i have done this past year. They will be more contemporary with a theme of nature. Oh one important fact i forgot to mention. All of my paintings are 2-D. Most all of the rocks in my paintings are raised from 3-10 centimeters. I think it gives it a little extra when the viewer sees part of the painting coming out at them. However that is one thing i find hard to capture when taking photos of my paintings.

Hey Faith, Thanx so much for your knid words on my pieces! I plan on getting a children's book writtin and illustrated before fall classes start, On piece called "Trees are FUN!" is the character in my book. These cute critters help children understand the timportace of trees, and how interacting with them helps a child's emagination grow!

I have a good feeling that I'll make it out to publishers and such..it's that I have been in school partime and work fulltime~ So a 4 year digree is taking me 8 years. I don't mind though, I have more time to put more effert into my 2 classes and getting a good grade, rather than taking 5 classes not being able to sleep because i have 5 projects due in 1 week!

Hope all is well and have a great weekend! Thanx again!

Hi Faith, "Spring Promises" is awesome! Keep on doing what you are doing. Experimenting is a learning experience.

Hi belcherf

Your work is impressive for someone who did not know she could paint.  I am happy to hear that you plan on continuing in this path.  I look forward to seeing more of your work. Great job!

Thanks for the compliments, belcherf. The Fishers' Wharf is my first maritime painting. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your honest elaborations on your new painting fetish. From my personal interactions I have always felt that graphic artists make great fine artists. You bring a lot of creativity to the art table. I love your stuff. - Jared

Belcherf-
I am glad you came to my site and enjoyed my work. I just checked out your gallery and enjoyed your paintings!  You have a great sense of color and know how to paint water and sky. Hope to see your new ones.  My latest work is for a castle over in France.  I might do more like that. Right6 now I'm doing one entitled"Gobal Apathy"

  Keep paintingt!!!

Thanks for the nice words.  Your work definitely has a 3-dimensional quality to it, even if you think your photos don't capture it.  The water you paint is very believable.  I think that's the best part since it makes your scenery so serene.
