Keb Mo, Lightenin' Hopkins, Norah Jones, Frank Sinatra (seriously!) Emmy Lou Harris, Eminem, Norah Jones..

Lately I only study art history books. I have loved Barbara Kingsolver's Prodigal Summer, Karl Hiaason's books, The English Patient and A Prayer for Owen Meany.

This is tough because I always forget the titles...

I paint every day and love it. I have a studio/gallery that is in a very public place so I get to paint and talk all day long. It's a great life. www.alisonvernon.com

My family, walks in the woods, birds at our feeders, Boston Museum of Fine Art, red wine in the evening, canoeing in marshes, chocolate..

Weak coffee.

Hiking, canoeing, bird-watching.

Where/what is Boundless Art? was it an article in the magazine or was it posted somewhere online? I wanted to make comment on your blog but I was assuming boundless art was an online gallery and place to post and sell art but I figured I didnt know enough to comment. (I am anti art sales online unless they are prints!)

Love your paintings and your sense of humor. Had to laugh about menopause as a turn-off. Yes indeed. I'm personally very thankful for HRT! Without it, life for me would be like having PMS 24-7, along with those awful PMS migraines.

hahaha - menopause, piece of cake if one keeps busy

Alison- I am so curious to view the paintng behind your profile-  It looks so wonderful-  I tried to view it in your galery, but it wasn't there.  How fun to have people around you when you paint.  I do that in the summer when I paint Plein air and it's a blast.  I bring coffee so I can share with others and they sit and tell me all about themselves-  I love it.  Can't do it in the winter-  Brrr.   Have a great day-  TA TA for now-   Deb

Hi Alison,

Thanks for the supportive words.  You totally made my day!

I see we similar tastes in music, literature, and life ...I can perform some Norah Jones and Bonnie Raitt for you if you like!

I think your work is wonderful!  I find your desire to offer praise to others so very refreshing!  I am so comfortable here knowing that this place is all about supporting each other!

I'm such a newbie...at almost 41!  NEVER GIVE UP!

Thanks again,

Rebecca (Seagirl)

Hi Alison,
Just to touch base with you again about art-exchange. They basically charge a fee for how many works are listed on their site, then there is a 10 % commission on sales. If you participate in the shows there are separate fees for that. They are sending more information. Judy
