The melodic rock band Pilot Speed. Check them out on My Space. www.myspace.com/pilotspeed

Eckhart Tolle's two books. I read these a year or two ago and think they are both very good. I just read "The Memory Keepers Daughter". It was very well written but the main character annoyed me.

I went to see Mongol last night. It's well worth seeing.

I paint large colorful works, many of musical instruments such as cellos and saxophones and I am also a collagraph printmaker. I currently live in Atlanta, GA. My work is in art collections in NZ, Canada, the UK and USA. My musical paintings have been used as posters for musical events in countries as far apart as Australia and Switzerland which is fun. One is on an internet cello society cookbook cover and another is on the cover of a classical CD by Ruth Sommers and David Oei..

I love unusual stylish art, good interior design, interesting architecture, spicy vegetarian food and fruity NZ white wines

Pretentiousness, snobbery and mean spirited people.

Looking at and making art, reading, talking about interesting ideas like 'the meaning of life', real estate and home renovation.

Thanks for visiting my gallery Suzanne. Abstract work gives me more of a sense of accomplishment because it's more difficult to do than realistic. When I start from nothing but some brush strokes on a blank canvas and no concept and develop it into something that works, it's pure joy.

Yet at the same time, if you can capture the moment/subject matter in a realistic piece it makes it satisfying as well.

I like what comes out well at the time!

Susanne, I just finished looking at your web site. What wonderful work you do. It was a joy to peruse through all your work. I was excited to see your collagraphs. I absolutly loved making them, years ago, in a print making class. This is the first time I have seen them done since that I was awair of. very exciting. I enjoyed reading your blog too. I got a kick out of your bit about spelling. I have always been a tarable speller, not for the same reason. I guess I just get too into what I am writing. I live with a diconary in my lap. So nice to have met you, I will request we become friends. Sonja

Hi Susanne, Your musical series strikes me as a home run in both the reproduction and upscale gallery markets. Have you been or thought of attending ArtExpo New York? I think you could find a huge market for your work possibly some international gallery representation too. Great stuff, thank you for sharing.

Warm Regards, David
