The melodic rock band Pilot Speed. Check them out on My Space. www.myspace.com/pilotspeed

Eckhart Tolle's two books. I read these a year or two ago and think they are both very good. I just read "The Memory Keepers Daughter". It was very well written but the main character annoyed me.

I went to see Mongol last night. It's well worth seeing.

I paint large colorful works, many of musical instruments such as cellos and saxophones. I also love collagraph printmaking. I currently live in Atlanta, GA. I moved there a year ago and love the weather and trees.

Visit my blog www.nonakedwalls.blogspot.com and you can see photos of my painting and printmaking processes. I have a draw each month for free goodies if you sign up for blog updates. I also post new works there as I finish them.

I have work in art collections in NZ, Canada, the UK and USA. My musical paintings have been used as posters for musical events in countries as far apart as Australia and Switzerland which is fun.

I love unusual stylish art, good interior design, interesting architecture, spicy vegetarian food and fruity NZ white wines

Pretentiousness, snobbery and mean spirited people.

Looking at and making art, reading, talking about interesting ideas like 'the meaning of life', real estate and home renovation.

Thanks for your comment! I know what its like to be pulled in different directions. But I barely have time to work on one medium....only thing is, it sometimes seems I've chosen the less "marketable" one. My point being, that if I could sell a little more, maybe I could cut back on the hours at my day job and make more art. I'm not too far from Atlanta - myabe I'll see your beautiful work there sometime. I love your color pallette and the way you've put together your images. --Leslie Jean Wentzell

Hi Susanne,

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment on my work. "Liquor Clown" is 30" x 20" & "Let's Go for a Ride" is about half of that. I appreciate your point of view about "Red Poppy" compared to the other two. I enjoy traveling between the man-made world and the organic. I just can't resist the colors, shapes & patterns of flowers...

I really enjoyed looking at your work. Great use of color and sense of design.

Happy Painting!

Thanks for the comment.  I love your musical instrument paintings, too! Now, if I had the money... Best wishes.

Hello Susanne ! (are you Canadienne ? I am French)

Thank you for your comment. it made me feel welcome.

I LOVE your painting, specially Geisha. Are you going to participate in the

French Chateau's contest where they ask about LEGS? I am sure you could do something wonderful!

Susanne--Thanks for the compliment!  The background is actually not black, but raw umber.  Still dramatic, but a bit softer than black (and more unusual.) :o)

Susanne-
I saw that you visited my site, so I thought I'd check yours out. I really like the way you composed your instrument pictures. The colors are great, plus you have a unique title. I'd love to see more.

Your comment about my signature was right on time.  I have been dabating if I didn't need to change it because I thought it was a little--umhuh!  So I think now I should stop worrying about that.  Thanks, G
