My number one favorite musician is Peter Gabriel, however I listen to quite a variety of music from classical to jazz, some other favorites are Annie Lennox, Indigo Girls, Paul Scwartz ARIA and ARIA 2, Julia Othmer I could go on and on...

I am currently reading Jack White's books about how to make a living as an artist-they are wonderful. You can download them from www.senkarikstuff.com if you don't have them already.

The Wizard of Oz is my favorite.

I have been practicing art from the moment I could pick up a pencil. Painting and drawing is my lifelong passion. I love the energy I get from the act of creating. I have just returned from the Artexpo NYC 2008 and it was great experience! I made some sales and I was picked up by a gallery in Marblehead, Massachusetts. I made lots of new contacts who I have been and will be following up with for the coming weeks! My beach scenes were a big hit! Check out my website www.heatherrippert.com

Thank you for the compliment Heather!  I love your beach scenes.  It reminds me of where I live.  You must be close to the ocean.  Good luck with your NY Expo.  Sounds very exciting.  You should do well.  Let me know how it goes.  I'd love to hear the details.   Lisa

I love your work, so serene.  Good luck with your endeavor with EXPO - that's awesome!  I read one of Jack White's books, it was very motivating and had a lot of great advice.  Keep up the great work.

Your paintings remind me of visits to the Carolina coast. Pleasant, warm memories. Good luck with your expo. Thanks for your comments on my work.

It's freezing cold here in Memphis as I write this, and I could literally see myself walking down the sandy path to the beach, the warm sand sliding between my toes, the sound of the seagulls in the distance, the wind through the grasses, and of course the crash of the waves.  You paint a very realistic picture and I wish I was there.

thanks for the friend invite

Your artwork is amazing. I love the light, the perspective everything. You are very talented! thanks for the comment about the mayan faces.  You nailed the meaning of it.  I am excited about frida coming to Philly, I am planning my trip while the exhibition is there.  I am glad you had the opportunity to visit Mexico, it's a very special country, with bad and good like everywhere else.  I am currently doing my masters on humanities with concentration in Mexican socio-political issues.
