I live with my husband and three dogs. I worked for many years in the computer software industry at Lotus Corporation and IBM along with a start up business that was one of the firsts of its kind to create an analog to digital video editing system. I now paint full-time. I paint mostly in acrylic but also in oil. My subject matter changes, I recently began a series of daily dog paintings (just for fun and to loosen me up) and created a blog painting a day blog - www.blockdogart.blogspot.com. Check it out if you are a dog lover.

Love animals large and small

Having to stop painting to perform daily duties to keep life running smoothly

Walking the beach and reading

HI There....    I really enjoyed your paintings...very refreshing.  I especially liked ..' little green apples '    and  the 'birch' one.  Thanks for sharing

Green (red) Dog the Orange roofed house and the Daffodils resonate with me.  Beautiful paintings!

Thanks for the comment on the market painting.  Usually when I get about half way through a painting like that I wonder what I was thinking to start something so complicated.  It's worth it if it turns out though.

Yes Fenway was done in acrylics. I'm kinda bummed though...I just UPS'd it today to be with its new owner (a friend of mine). I worked on it so long I feel like I lost my left arm! It was fun while it lasted. Thanks for the kudos!

Slidell is very near Picayune, but Slidell and Picayune are 2 very different worlds. So, you obviously love dogs.  Me too!  My dog Lucy strayed into my classroom as an abandoned and abused puppy about 6 months old. She had an old leather belt beginning to put a groove into her neck. That was 8 years ago.  Today, she is the queen of the universe!

Thanks for the compliment on my gallery.  I am in need a push these days.  I love your dog paintings and can hardly wait to see the series you are doing. I am a big dog lover- I have a golden.  She just had a bath this morning and looks so furry and fluffy.

It's very cold here now and all I want to do is sleep and curl into a ball like a cat.  -and eat chocolate!  I heard MA just got dump with a snow-did you?  I am working on some paintings and doing some marketing.  50/50 of my time-   Working on a website and  portfolio's.  Plan of pushing more this spring.   Have a great day!   Deb
