I'm a working artist and art instructor in Oakley, California (San Francisco area.) I love painting outdoors, and have been juried into several plein air events including the Carmel Art Festival. I also enjoy portrait and figure work. My favorite medium is pastel, with its rich, saturated color and direct application. Reality is great, but I like giving it a little twist -- improvising with color, streamlining shapes, weaving playful patterns. Unfolding with a life of its own, each painting is a journey and a joy! |
