Haven't got much past 60s and 70 much! Good blues, reggae, and rock n' roll. Like accoustic music that says something emotional too - personal, political or environmental.

Just finished Peter Carey's "Theft a Love Story." It was great !
Not much time for novels with doing research. Reading all the stuff on feminism and feminist art at the moment.

Bit disillusioned with the movie industry at the moment and have been watching more TV series- Westwing, Six Foot Under, Deadwood, Boston Legal, and Carnivale are favourites. Think there is more depth, better writing in good TV.

After twenty years of teaching little kids I have retired to pursue my creativity. Last year I completed Bachelor of Visual Arts and this year I am doing Honours.

I live in Mildura on the Murray River in Australia. It's an area for growing grapes and citrus which is really stressed at the moment through prolonged drought.

I love to travel and have live in lots of places around Australia. I'm here now to be near my daughter and grandchildren.

spring and autumn days spent in tune with nature. Full moon nights. Holidays in Bali. Stimulating conversation with intelligent and creative people. Watching my grandchildren grow. Trips to the city to soak in the culture.

fools, bigots, liars and pretentious people. Blatant disrespect for the environment. Meaningless political rhetoric. Human rights abuse.

Totally immersed in my art, with time out for gardening and the occasional walk along the river. Collecting Australian pottery from 1940-1960.

Thanks for enjoying my installation, of course its theatrical and meant to be experienced not really looked at... I really like the work in your gallery!

Hi Lyn, Thanks for paying my masks a visit and for your comments. It's always a pleasure meeting someone else in love with masks. So far, I have no Balinese mask in my collection, but after your note I've been looking online and I like what I see.

I enjoy your work. Your sculptures are very unique and creative. I especially enjoyed Medusa for some reason...  =)    -Don

Really interesting work Lyn.  I just came back for a second look.  They are so big!  Great stuff.  Thanks too for you kind comments about my work.  After a day in the studio when nothing was going right it was good to get them.

Hi Lyn!

Thanks for the comments on my work & the tip on that Vampire movie...I'll have to check it out.  I love your sculptures...I'm a good friend of Lina's & she had emailed me pix of your work before because she knew I'd like it.

Nice to "meet" you here!

Lyn,

Thank you so much for the compliment on our work!  I am amazed at yours as well!  I've been going to art shows for so many years that sometimes I start thinking I've seen it all, but your work is VERY unique and that's always so inspirational.  I'm curious, do you use recycled carpet?  And are the sculptures rigid when you're done or do they remain flexible?  At any rate, very cool!  Warmest regards,

Tamara

Thank you!  All the work is steel of the frame and the surrounding works except the clay sculpture who was made by the gallery owner in the front of the frame!

Again, you have great work!

Steve
