I'm an artist living in the Enchanted Wood in New South Wales Australia. Love traveling, reading, movies, writing and recording songs, meeting new people, eating good food, and spending time at the beach and other places where Nature is still in her glory.

Creating art, music, film, photography, writing, dreams.
Good books, films, artshows, delicious food, stimulating conversation. Love, laughter, joy and peace.
Honest, amusing friends to share all the above with.

I work in oils, acrylics, mixed mediums and photography. I'm also into singing and songwriting and have recently been studying film making.

Dishonesty in all its forms, especially by those in power who really should know better. Greed, especially by companies who have no respect for their workers, the environment or future generations.

My artwork, photography, music and film making are both my work and my hobbies!

Linaeve-
ust went through your gallery, love your work! Do you use live models for your nudes? I like the free way you use your lines and colors. Someday I'm going to make it down to Australia(It looks beautiful from pictures I've seen.  Keep in touch-

Thanks for visiting my gallery. the Tizah piece is inspired by my work with women and insanity in the 18th and 19th centuries, (i am only half joking when I say I'm the mad woman in the attic), Tizah was a spiritualist who was institutionalised by her family because of her religious beliefs, which was unfortunately very common during this time period. I am particularly interested right now in the links between spiritualism and the early women''s movement. I am lucky to find myself living in upstate NY in the US which was a hotbed of radicals of all kinds. I can't really explain teh attraction, I just need to let these women's stories be heard... I am researching a book and hope to eventually get my PhD but for now I am just putting things together to let their voices be heard again. That was probably tmi, but thanks for your interest! I am hoping to get my website up here in teh next few weeks, so if you want you can learn more...

Hello,

I'm glad you liked my "Rafting with Friends" painting. It

was a very fun thing to do way back when I was still able

to sail. I sure like your landscape above!

Thank You, LindaEve, for your kind comments. No I don't live in any of those places I've painted. But I've gone there to paint them (most of them). Your work is wonderfully imaginative.- Suzanne

I was really enjoying your photograph shots especially when I was called down to play Wii with my 5 year old and husband . . . I love surfing the galleries.  I really like your cover image.  I've been desperately working on blog banners and general digital editing for my blog . . . it is driving me crazy!  I appreciate your appreciation!

hi thanks for your comments.  you can try both soft or oil pastels. the two of them are very different in application.  the soft is very responsive, and the soft pastels offer the best range of colors.  oil pastels take longer to apply but for me i actually prefer them since i do alot of pushing the pigment around with my fingers. i am going to try oil sticks which i have never used before. also soft pastels create alot of dust in the studio which is not healthy to breathe- i found that to be a big problem.
