Goth, punk, alternative industrial, heavy metal, classic rock, rock-a-billy, classical, "world music", ethereal...Way too many amazing bands to name!

LOVE getting "sucked in" (ouch!) by those vampire books! Anything dealing with spirituality, Wicca, mythology, etc. Detailed fantasy/sci-fi; books about the history of punk, rock, etc. And I laughed out loud when reading "I am America & so can you!" by the brilliant Stephen Colbert!

Any GOOD vampire flick, well-done sci-fi and fantasy (like Lord of the Rings), most Tim Burton movies, Crash, Pollock, Excaliber, Michael Moore's films, Surrealist films (Last Year at Marienbad), old B&W films from the 20's thru 50's....

I've been an artist since I can remember, thanks to dad teaching me to draw when I was a kid. I was graduated with a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers in 1988. Being unique and remaining true to myself and my art is extremely important to me. Yet I also respect the artistic needs of my clients, and strive to create work that will make them happy. I enjoy exhibiting artwork around the country, and am currently represented by galleries in NJ and MA.
The art I create for myself and for exhibits focuses on my personal spirituality which is based on Earth-centered religions. This includes many Goddess-type and nature images. I also love to travel and shoot photos that depict the essence of a particular place. Depending on the project, I not only work with photography, but oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen & ink, and computer graphics.
Illustrating for crafter & greeting card companies, publications and historical organizations is another way I earn income doing what I love. I'm looking forward to meeting artists from around the globe here!!

Lauren,

It was my pleasure seeing your show. The shop is very cool too. I'll be in Somerville again on May 15 for the opening of the "What Does it Mean to be Human?" show with the Printmaking Council.

We'll talk soon about getting together to do some photographs.

Hey Lauren, It's not quite Spring-like just yet, but I'm anticipating warmer weather and as soon as it happens, I'll be out and painting and getting more inspiration. Congrats on your solo show. How cool is that! If i was close by, I'd be there. Viewing work online is great, but seeing artwork in person is much better.

All the best... Douglas

danke schön, Lauren! Hey, I've got work showing in your neck of the woods...sorta, a show titled Soup N' Crackers at Zahra's Studio Gallery in Beacon, NY. It runs through March into the first week of April. Had fun looking through your photography. Smiled when I came to the freak show. Keep on a-shooting!

Me and my husband just started our own media studio, he does video and sound production and I run the illustration and design sector of the company! It's called "MoonBoogie Media". That is great that you are getting buisness with your talent great Job man! Talk to you soon girl!
