Hey former Razorback! Thanks for the kind words on my work. I'm not a member of the Arkansas League of Artists, although it's very likely that it's still around. I've always admired DeSpain's work - my parents had a few of his smaller drawings around the house and I used to marvel at his technical skill.

You have some really great work here, I'll definitely be checking back now and again to see what you've been up to!

In the picture of Dream Awake, I think I was playing with the idea of just waking up, or more like a sleepwalking state, when reality meshes with dreams the sleeper is weaving.  It can also represent arousal to temptation, but I like to keep my pictures G rated!

Saw your newest posting earlier today. Very well done. I wonder ... is he in torment, could he be mentally ill?

LOL! I'd be kicked out of MY Sunday School if they knew I was drawing such things!  The "bitch seat" is common vocabulary for the back seat of a bike...and very few bikers will sit there...except, of course, if they're riding behind a woman...and in my experience, most of them don't want to be there even then!

Thanks for the comment on "Cascade Falls", you are correct it is better in black and white vs color.

Thank you for your comment about the painting of my daughter. Before I started painting I was a photographer. For ten years I would not use photographs as references for paintings, but now I will as long as they are my own images (with some exceptions). Sometimes it takes a while to get the right image, but when I do it's magic! My daughter was 2 in the painting and she is still very pensive at 6...Take care, Cheryl

That's funny. My mom, who is just a liver fan-a-tic, always made liver in various ways but I could never share her "joy" of the food.
