Any that have a good ending. I love biographical movies like Surviving Picasso, and Frida.

I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a BFA in Illustration and been freelancing ever since. I have one book published called Sammy's Soldier (I illustrated it not authored it) and am currently working on the second one for the same author. I hope to one day have my stories published also.

I am married and have two small boys. They have breathed new life into me and my art, they inspire me everyday! I almost can't keep up with it!

I love children's books, always have had a passion for them.
I love art that envokes a emotion that strikes you with color and mood and composition.

My boys run my life right now, so my hobby at the moment is my art.

Hi Kathryn, Thanks for your comments on "The Inevitable Adventure". My masks seem to be getting a little more talkative lately and I'm trying to get their stories out there...   -Don

I truly love your work. Some of it reminds me a little of what Norman Rockwell did.

My son just turned 16 and now towers above me... I'm sure everyone tells you to treasure your boys while they are small, it passes so quickly, but I love the man my son is growing to be, so its OK... he's sweet, funny, cynical and scared and soooo funny. Its funny but now I find myself incapable of extended periods of concentration. all those years of working around little ones, if I have a day at my disposal as I often do now, I'm a little lost!! As they say, this too shall pas, blessings...

Thank you for being my friend. I like your mask. I'd be curious to know what inspired it. It's amazing the amount of energy that kids have, isn't it? I love children's books too and one of my favorites from my childhood is Elephant on Wheels. It's about an elephant who loved to rollerskate but her family didn't want her to and kept hiding her skates until by the end of the book the whole family was on rollerskates. Naturally the book disappeared and I had forgotten the name of it until I did research online and found it at ebay. I tell ya, you can find anything there.

Thanks for the kind words about my paintings. It's nice to know someone else is fascinated by masks. Maybe I'm not totally insane after all...   =)    I enjoyed your work...especially the pieces you did with children. "Safety" and "interesting" are beautiful. Keep up the great work.   Don

You have a talent for finding sentimental poses in children. Great eye and great draghtsmenship skills. Do you read your first illustrated book to your boys at night? Let's pray your second book comes out soon so they can be read a new book! :) Jared
