I am a high school art teacher in Ohio. I am the product of Teachers. My grandfather was a life-long commercial and watercolor artist. He has and will always be a true inspiration. My art mentor, my high school art teacher, who encouraged me to be who I am today! Teaching students is my my calling. There is no better feeling knowing you've reached a youth. The success of a student determines the success of their teacher.
I am also a colored pencil artist. It is the medium I love, and cannot get enough of. While in college, I found a few books on colored pencil, needless to say I became hooked, and my journey began.

My works have been in National juried shows in Chicago, Illinois and Bethesda, Maryland as well as a few local shows in Ohio.

Drawing, Fishing, Golfing, Music, and hanging with my wife

I wish I would have had art in my classes with a teacher like you.

And you are right. there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a spark lite in a person young or old.  I volunteered teaching Juveniles at a correction facility.  It was hard be cause we were not allowed to take in so many products, like pencils with erasers.  we had to saw the metal off.  we persevered.

You are a good artist.  your students must be very pleased with you.

Yup, I finally made it to Ohio.  We moved here in early August.  I checked out the Short North and I'm going to approach a few galleries in the area....crossing my fingers.  How have things been with you.  Do you have power?

Thanks for the compliment, most of them are oil except for the dog which is charcoal. I have to admit your work is amazing. My favorite is the dog it has so much contrast and personality.

Kevin,

It's been awhile since I've been on here, thanks for letting me know about your one piece I asked about.  Sorry it took so long to get back to you on it.
