I was born in Mexico City, Mexico during the 60’s. I studied Art at Wright State University. My life is full of experiences that have allowed me to develop as an artist. Being born in Mexico has embedded great fondness for what most people would label as morbid images. Mexican art is a mixture of pre-Hispanic images blended with the graphic, and sometimes terrifying, images of a bleeding and battered Jesus. The horrendous realities of constant war and political instability that the country experienced from 1810 to the 1930’s were the inspiration of many great artists. Some wanted to use their artistic abilities to attest to the brutal every day life in Mexico. Others used their art to express their political opinions. When I paint or create sculptures I see a fusion of influences from my native country. Jose Maria Velasco and his landscapes, Posada and his morbid sense of humor, Diego Rivera and his desire to show us the harsh reality of the life of the Mexican peasants oppressed by the bourgeoisie, and Frida Kahlo, who painted from the heart in order for us to sense her physical and psychological torture.

My whole life is lived as a hobby. I enjoy every breath I take.

Hi Gabriella,

Thank you so much for commenting on my page. I so miss the critiques that I got in college. I really like your work. Morbidity  has entered my art at some point. Sorry I didn't not respond sooner. I hope to talk again soon.

Nice work, it seems to me that you use two different titles of painting. One for landscapes and the other title when you paint people- William

Hey thanks for the visit.  What a surprise, I didn't know there were too many people out there who know where Brookville is!  Wright State is a great school, I went just up the road to Wittenberg Univ.  I dig your work.  Keep up the goods!

Your works have a strong voice. Very effective native vernacular with just the right touch of applied sophistication.

Thanx for visiting my page and for your comments I like the darkness in your art work it gives me the impression that things in life are not always as we hope they should be.

 I love it.

Cool, cant wait to see it.  You actually inspired me to redo that "che".  very large, Maybe 60" x 60"    Might do it in a completely different color.  or maybe lots of them.

Enjoy whats left of it.   LOL

Thank you so much...that is a huge complement for me, since it's really the main thing I'm trying to do! I love all subjects in art, but there is just something about the face for me--so I try to do for my viewer what faces do for me.
