My life has been and is art, especially painting. Presently, I am working on marketing and creating several series of works. (Visit my website for more information on these new series.) I live intentionally and enjoy the moments in time. Although, I have painting mostly watercolors in the past, and still love the medium, I am presently working in Acrylics and doing more contemporary work. Going in this new direction has sparked in me new feelings of freedom, energy, and enthusiasm. Newly released paintings will be posted soon. My website- www.DebMagelssen.com and new blog- www.debmagelssen.blogspot.com

Life and the wonder of it all.
Beauty to uplift and create hope.
Art, and a good glass of wine.
Music to soothe the soul.
Nature to inspire and relax.
Sunlight to know about tomorrow.
Kids to know what freedom means.
Teenagers to learn to expand my horizons.
A good belly laugh to keep things simple.

War, Pride, Anger, Fear, Haughtiness, Jealousy,
Greed.

Making art and having fun, gardening, hiking, reading, listening to music, hanging with friends, dining out.

Yeah, well the back ground image says "cheap art" it can be seen in VT next time you go to Glover to see the Bread & Puppet circus.  You will find it and all the art for sale in a bus across from their barn/museum.

Thank you for the warm welcome. Sorry for the very slow response. I was very busy during the holiday season and had several commissions to finish up. Also, thank you for the compliments on my work.

Hi Deb!

I hope the New Year is treating you well!  Things are very good here, I have a show next weekend, and I will pull out my forge for that one!  I am going to pursue some new paths this year, I am going to try to push the envelope on frames and make my custom frames a priority for new wokrs with cool canvas artists.

It is going to be a good year, I see alot of artist growth in this one.

All my best

Steve

THanks Deb, it's always nice to hear that someone reads my articles

I didn't have any classes in art business either, when I was in school.  But I did take business classes and I had a corporate career before I became a professional artist, and the same principles apply.  I find that art business is still business, it's only the 'widget' that's different

ta ta,

Annie

Thanks for the welcome greeting Deb. MN in the winter?...YIKES, that brings up some memories...I grew up in Buffalo. Need I say more of why I moved south? Thanks for browsing my gallery. I can tell you're a happy soul from the images you paint. Keep up the great work! Happy New Year and stay warm!
